SHOVAL DORANI, FOUNDER OF DORANI DOGS
Shoval’s experience working with dogs began at the age of 19 while serving as a combat canine handler and instructor in Oketz, the independent special forces unit of the Israel Defense Force. During her service, she participated in numerous military operations and checkpoints and developed valuable skills in K9 operational handling and training for explosives and weapons material dogs. In addition to training and handling her own K9, she instructed her soldiers and continuously prioritized the maintenance of their K9 skills and capabilities. In her last year, Shoval was awarded “Outstanding Commander of Operational Platoon.”
After completing her service, Shoval returned to her hometown of Philadelphia where she obtained a degree in Criminology and Justice Policy at Drexel University. As a full time student, she continued to pursue her passion by providing professional dog training, walking, and boarding services throughout the Philadelphia area. Since graduating in 2017, Shoval has been working as a professional dog trainer and K9 behavior consultant. She is also the K9 explosives and narcotics detection instructor at Israeli Special Tactics K9 based out of West Palm Beach, Florida.
